Finding Love Without Looking For It

Often when people want a new relationship, they either look for someone to complete them or they imagine sharing their life with someone just like them. So they try to present themselves in the best possible light for their imagined future partner—either as one perfect half of a whole or as an ideal version of what they believe their future partner will want.
In my experience, finding your soul mate requires a different, far more soul-enriching approach. Here are six steps that worked for me:

1. Stop looking for your soul mate and find the missing parts of you.

This may sound cliche, but it’s exactly how I met my boyfriend. I stopped looking for “the one” after believing I found the one. I decided to turn my attention inward—to get to know and accept myself, to heal past wounds, and to explore and develop new parts of myself.
Previously, I needed to be with someone in order to feel content, to have someone love me in order to feel loved. Loosing someone who you thought was the one can be painful because it feels as if you are breaking up, as if you are being torn from a part of yourself.
What I discovered was that I had to learn to be whole. And when I started to work on that, my life changed.

Preparing for the future

 Hi guys,
so recently I have been thinking a lot about my future and have decided to do a post about the importance of preparing for your future in the present. I'm sure I'm not the only who constantly thinks about how my life will plan out in the near future, so I've thought of some tips and points which you may find somewhat helpful.

“Chance favours the prepared mind.”
Louis Pasteur
Do you agree with the quote above? I definitely do. Instead of believing in pure luck, I believe that luck is what happens when opportunities come to those who are prepared for them.
To increase your “luck factor”, there are two things you should do:
  1. Prepare yourself for opportunities so that you can take advantage of them when they come.
  2. Put yourself in a position that makes it easier for opportunities to come.
While both of them are important, I think the first one is more important. Why? Because what makes the difference is whether or not you can take advantage of the opportunities. What’s the use of getting a lot of opportunities if you can’t take advantage of them?
So, because the first point is more important, I will focus on it here.

DIY: How to depot lipstick

Hi guys, so a few weeks ago I had finally decided to depot the lipsticks that I don't use often. Having so many separate tubes in my collection & having to go through every single one to find the colour I wanted was not only a hassle, but it wasted a lot of time. I just like to save as much time as possible! My first issue when debuting was finding the right palette. There are so many different companies that create all types of empty palettes, but I wanted something not only convenient, but also something that saved room in my make up table. Something smaller than the usual large palettes. I found my Vuesest palette on it’s small, & what I love most about it is that I can hold it in the palm of my hand while applying a colour without the fear of dropping it. It has 24 wells that appeared small in the images shown on the website, but the wells are actually quite deep. The palette itself is the perfect size & exactly what I was after.

Water your flowers; keeping positivity at heart

Hi guys, so after taking a break from blogging to keep up with my studies and complete my exams, I decided for the first post to be focused on ways to motivate yourself and how to become happier. After a hard month of terrible news and having to adjust for new circumstances I believe that this post is very relevant to myself.

“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness"

How to water the roots of your soul:
                                                                    Detoxing your mind
Nothing is ever as bad as it seems. Sometimes negative things will happen at some stages in our lives. We can overthink and dwell on that negativity which is taking over our lives or we can change the way we think. Now, clearly this is easier said than done but you can do it with the right steps. Firstly, I would advise to let go of toxic friendships and relationships. Anything and anyone who isn't adding value or giving you part time happiness is not meant to be in your life. Acknowledging this is a crucial step and often very difficult, as we tend to hold on to the good memories with toxic people. So get rid, let go of the criers, the takers, the down-right mean people, the users, the bull-shitters, the gossipers, and the passive aggressives. Take control of your happiness by not allowing others to steer your emotions up and dow or steal them altogether. If you can’t completely rid of the negative people, you can definitely set boundaries to minimize your interactions with them. Saying GoodBye means Hello to Happiness. Another key tip is to let go of grudges you're holding and forgive. When you hold grudges, possess anger or find yourself always looking backwards, it is hard to see what is so positive in this life. The great thing about forgiveness is you don’t have to feel it, you just do it. And, you are doing it for you, not the other person. If you are angry with someone, your attention and energy is given to them, not you. You can’t control your past, and that can be upsetting sometimes. But you can control your present and future, and you can drive yourself right up to happiness.

My first year in University experience

Hi guys! so today's post will be a lengthy one all about my first year experience in higher education. The way I will conduct this is by giving you a brief overlook on my experience and also the challenges I faced. I will also separate this post out into subheadings of the main areas of university.

Luckily for me I have two older sisters who have already completed University as well as my Dad, so as you can guess they gave me all the tips I needed before starting. This is not to say that I didn't learn and discover somethings by myself. So for a little bit of background about my previous studies, I took A-Levels in Business Studies, Economics, Sociology and Spanish, so I had a variety of different sector opportunities to progress in and widen my horizon.

In terms of the degree I chose to take on, I had a lot of advice on the variety of courses I could do. Originally in my first year of college, I was inclined on taking a Marketing course or Multimedia Journalism as I have always had a passion for digital media and the usage of social media to create awareness about all kind of things. However by the time I got to the second year, where new modules were introduced into Business Studies, I became aware of 'Human Resources' which I found rather interesting and different to just studying Business Studies on it's own. For those wondering, Human Resources is all about improving employees work life within businesses, so you're in charge of maximising their performance and help to motivate them as well as dealing with any issues employees may have. This may sound rather boring to some of you, but to me it's such an important role and personally speaking from previous jobs, sometimes they are the only ones you can speak to about things you're finding difficult rather than reporting to your general manager. So I was inspired to hopefully become a Human Resources manager and be able to change work life for certain organisations.

DIY: cacao easter nests with Bioglan Superfoods

Hey guys, Happy Easter!

So, a few days ago, I was sent some lovely products from Bioglan Superfoods by TASTE PR to make some treats for this easter break.
One of the reasons I was intrigued to try out Bioglan Superfoods products is that they offer raw cacao, which is the purest form of chocolate you can consume. This means it's less processed, has no added sugar and significantly higher  in antioxidants than plain old cocoa powder or shop-bought chocolate bars! I will link their website down below for any one interested in some tasty ingredients.

P.S all all their products are; organic, vegan, dairy-free and gluten free

Taking Stock: March 2017

Self reflection

Hi guys, so this post will be about self reflection of my myself at this very moment in time in my life. I believe that from time to time it's crucial to really open yourself up and reflect back on your actions, feelings and development you have acquired over the past few months of even weeks. This was inspired whilst I was stumbling on some blogs I follow and saw a 'Stock Take' post and decided to give it a try. For those wondering what self reflection is and how to introspect:

Human self-reflection is the capacity of humans to exercise introspection and the willingness to learn more about their fundamental nature, purpose and essence.

Make Some Room For Yourself
  1. Create Quiet Space. This can come in many forms
  2. Ask Deep Open Ended Questions. Now that you've created this space for yourself
  3. See What Comes Up With No Judgement. Make sure you hold your heart and mind wide open to any potentials that may arise
  4. Take Notes
  5. Reflect and Repeat

A little introduction

A warm welcome to my blog to my readers,
My name is Patricia, also known as Trisha and I am a 19 year old student, currently studying
Human Resources Management which I absolutely love. I am living in a friendly City called Manchester, United Kingdom with my family.
I have been wanting to make a personal blog for the longest time, not having the confidence and just lacking creativity was holding me back from doing so, but I have finally had the guts to go ahead with my dream, with the encouragement of my partner and my friends.
I decided to open this blog purely on the basis of my love for all beauty related things and a major passion of the concept of being able to connect, inspire and influence you beautiful people
via social media.
